Light microscopy is capable of analyze a filter particle coating. The particles extracted from the filtration can be measured and counted. As a result, the analysis provides the number and size of particles detected on the analysis filter.
This measurement makes it possible to draw conclusions about the damage potential of the individual particles.
The detection is performed via the luminance contrast to the membrane. Shiny metallic particles are selected by means of polarized light. The system categorizes particles as metallic shiny, not shiny or as fibers.
